Bird Breeders

These creatures feed while walking slowly through shallow water with its bill held open under the surface. When a fish, crayfish or tadpole touches the bill, a reflex causes the bill to snap shut very quickly. The bill never allows loosing the prey.

These creatures are the symbols of Florida's disappearing wetlands. These are very interesting creatures and they have rather distinctive behavior that differ them from other animals of the same class. Wood storks eat fish, tadpoles, and crayfish and they rely on touch to catch their prey when hunting. Bird breeders may require an aviary as part of their duties as a breeder.
